Krishna has to be discounted from selecting favorite character. Because, He is not the one among the rest. As per the epic, நடப்பதும், நடத்தப்படுவதும் அவனின் செயலே. கொல்பவனும் அவனே, கொல்லப்படுவதும் அவனே. பீமனுக்கு குறி அளித்து, துரியனை கொல்வதும் அவனே. தொடை பிளந்து துரியனாய் வேதனை அனுபவித்து இறப்பதும் அவனே. சர்வமயமாய் இருந்தும், still Krishna wants to demonstrate only one thing through the entire epic of Mahabarat. That is,

இவ்வுலகில் சரி /தவறென்று ஏதுமில்லை. மாறாக ஒவ்வொரு கர்மமும் அதற்கான பலனை பெறுகிறது.

To demonstrate this, தன்னையே ஒரு கருவியாக்கி, போரில் தர்மத்திற்காக பல சூழ்ச்சிகளை செய்து , முடிவில் காந்தாரியின் சாபம் ஏற்று, பரிதாபமாக உயிரிழப்பதின் மூலம், இறையே ஆனாலும் கர்மத்தின் பலன் நிச்சயமென்பதை உலகிற்கு உணர்த்தியவன் கிருஷ்ணன்.
